In October 2014, the direction of psychology was distinguished by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences while the Pedagogical Institute of Educational Research was the Faculty of Humanitarian Sciences, which was established on the basis of which the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences was formed.

Currently, up to 2400 students (three levels of teaching) are studying at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, with 60 professors who serve the faculty, 4 undergraduate educational programs and 15 master's and doctoral programs.

Faculty has academic and scientific laboratories, computer center, library, material and financial resources providing high level of teaching and scientific research.
